Christmas Tree Festival 2018

Our hugely popular Christmas Tree Festival returns to the cloister this December. Local businesses, charities and schools will provide and decorate 95 glittering Christmas trees which line the medieval cloister, creating a truly magical display. The Cathedral has now officially taken over the running of this event from Daisychain Benevolent Fund. Many thanks to Greg and Davina Rowe for their years of hard work on this well-loved event. This year there will be a shortlist of 6 trees to go through to a public vote for The People’s Choice award. As well as many returning supporters we have a number of new entrants this year and we’re looking forward to seeing all the creative masterpieces.

The Tree Festival runs from 8 December – 3 January and is free to visit. Please make a donation via one of the barrels to support the Cathedral and its work.

The Tree Festival is full for 2018. Information about taking part in next year's festival will be available here in due course.
