Benefactors of Worcester CathedralBenefactors-Cover.jpg

Throughout its history, the Cathedral has been sustained by the incredible generosity of people, organisations and charitable trusts which have supported its architectural development; its music and worship; and its education and work in the community.

A regular gift is one of the most valuable ways that you can support Worcester Cathedral. You can become a Benefactor of Worcester Cathedral by making an annual gift of £250 or £400 as a joint annual gift. To express our gratitude for your support, we will invite you to an annual Thanksgiving Service in June to commemorate the great founders and benefactors of the past, and a service at Christmas, as well as other special occasions.

Please click here for the Benefactors of Worcester Cathedral leaflet and donation form. To discuss your gift, please telephone us on 01905 732912 or email development@worcestercathedral.org.uk

As the value of your gifts accumulate or if you would like to make a more substantial gift, we have created:

St Oswald Benefactors – for lifetime gifts totalling £10,000+.

St Wulstan Benefactors - for lifetime gifts totalling £50,000+.

The names of St Oswald and St Wulstan Benefactors will be recorded in a Commemorative Book. There will be a Service of Thanksgiving every June for all our Benefactors.

Making a tax efficient gify to Worcester Cathedral

Donations by individuals to Worcester Cathedral are tax free.  There are many ways that you can make a gift:  through Gift Aid; straight from your wages or pension through a Payroll Giving scheme; land, property and shares; and in your Will.

Donating through Gift Aid means that the Cathedral can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It won't cost you any extra and all you have to do is complete the Gift Aid Declaration and return it to us.  If you pay tax at the higher or additional rate, you can claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation.
