Leaving a Legacy to Worcester Cathedral

A regular gift is one of the most valuable ways that you can support Worcester Cathedral. You can become a Benefactor of Worcester Cathedral by making an annual gift of £250 for one person or £400 for a couple.

Each year, you will be invited to attend one of the Christmas carol services and a drinks reception hosted by the Dean. The carol services are always heavily oversubscribed so we reserve seats for Benefactors in the Quire area, near to the Cathedral choir. Benefactors are also invited to the annual Benefactors Thanksgiving service and drinks reception in June and every three years to an Evensong at the Three Choirs Festival at Worcester Cathedral.

Please click here for the Benefactors of Worcester Cathedral leaflet and donation form. To discuss your gift, please telephone us on 01905 732912 or email development@worcestercathedral.org.uk

As the value of your gifts accumulate or if you would like to make a more substantial gift, we have created:

St Oswald Benefactors – for lifetime gifts totalling £10,000+.

St Wulstan Benefactors - for lifetime gifts totalling £50,000+.

Making a tax efficient gift to Worcester Cathedral

Donations by individuals to Worcester Cathedral are tax free.  There are many ways that you can make a gift:  through Gift Aid; straight from your wages or pension through a Payroll Giving scheme; land, property and shares; and in your Will.

Donating through Gift Aid means that the Cathedral can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It won't cost you any extra and all you have to do is complete the Gift Aid Declaration and return it to us.  If you pay tax at the higher or additional rate, you can claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation.
